Food Donations Desperately Needed

At the Care Zone we partner with local agencies in the city to not only give away furniture and household items for free to those in real need (asylum seekers, those affected by domestic abuse, single parents who have been housed and so on), but we also distribute food parcels. This is a much needed service and we have recently seen a huge increase in demand for this which has depleted our stock.

We rely on donations to be able to continue this valuable service, without which many families would go without. If you would like to help out our big need currently is for food. Please would you consider buying some food items from the list below - all contributions will be gratefully received and if you could donate on a regular basis that would be extremely helpful.

For storage purposes the items need to be non-perishable, so we are looking for gifts of:-

Tins; baked beans, tomatoes, tuna fish, spaghetti hoops, soup, corned beef, fruit, custard
1Kg bags of Pasta and Rice and jars of pasta sauce
Jars of Jam or peanut butter
Tea Bags, coffee, sugar
Packet of biscuits and crisps

There is a food drop off point in the Atrium at KingsGate every Sunday, located by the Bookstall. If you do not attend KingsGate but would like to donate some food, you can drop it off at KingsGate during the week, or directly to the Care Zone at:
