Bringing Hope to our Hostels
For the fourth year running, we saw our Hope Tree project bringing a little hope and happiness to families spending Christmas in a hostel. The project was started as part of the 2008 Hope UK wide initiative and has been successfully coninuing with the help of our members.
Each family member living in the hostel takes a tag from the Christmas tree and completes it with their choice of present up to the value of £15. Kingsgate members then take a tag and buy the chosen present, wrap it, and return it to Kingsgate Church. We then arrange delivery of all the presents just before Christmas to the four hostels we support. All the families are delighted and appreciate knowing that there are people who care about them.
Here are some of the thank you letters we have received.
