Twotoo Scarves Success - got yours yet?

Twotoo scarves have been selling like hotcakes. For two Sundays prior to Christmas we sold over 70 scarves.

The interest was so great that both times we ran out! However due to popular demand we now have another batch in stock. They will make an ideal valentine's or birthday present, or simply if you want to make a fashion statement whiilst supporting a local cause. TwoToo is the opposite of most designer labels. Instead of implying exclusivity and superiority it expresses support and identification with those in need. Prices range from £5-8 and come in many great styles for men and women and have their own unique packaging.

Wear a TwoToo Scarf and help the homeless this winter - the idea behind it
When you buy a TwoToo scarf you are not just buying one scarf, but two. You get to keep one and a warm fleece scarf will be worn TOO by a homeless person who needs to help keep warm this winter. Kingsgate have partnered with TwoToo to sell these scarves via our resources centre and then we get to give the others away to the homeless in Peterborough.

Upon selling our first two deliveries we received our "giveaway" scarves, which are lovely warm black fleece scarves, just before Christmas. We planned to distribute the scarves through the agencies or volunteers that work directly with the homeless.

twotooThe first batch of around 40 were delivered to Peterborough Streets on Wed 21st December just in time for them to be given out as a Christmas present. Peterborough Streets, formerly known as St Theresa's, caters for the needs of the homeless, the poor and the socially excluded adults in the City of Peterborough.  As well as providing a safe and secure environment where the homeless can access low priced hot food, clothing, laundry services, and showers, the Day Centre enables clients to access free health related activities, counselling, resettlement advice, tenancy support, vocational training and welfare assistance.

The second batch were given to Mike Carroll who leads a group of volunteers on a Tuesday night. The group chat and connect with the homeless and provide free drinks and clothing. "A warm scarf and clothing is just what the homeless need on a chilly night to help keep warm" says Mike.

So why not head over to our resources centre and grab yourself a scarf whilst stocks last.
