Community Action
Jesus has made such a difference in our lives, that we want to share the love that we have discovered with everyone we come into contact with...
Christianity is not a religion but a personal encounter and an ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Love, forgiveness and a purpose in life are all part of the promise Jesus made when He said "I have come that they might have life and have it to the full" (John 10:10)
One of the ways we express our lives in God is to reach out to the community. We are involved in a number of areas such as:
- Helping single parents
- Pregnancy advice
- Practical sharing of resources with the disadvantaged
- Children's activities
- Care for the elderly
- And much more!!
Oasis
Oasis is a social opportunity for over 18’s to "catch up" with people you already know and to make new friendships. Single, married, young or old – all are welcome! Look out for dates in the Newsletter and on the church website.
Over 60s
We hold themed social events bi-monthly with food, entertainment, laughter and friendship for all. Leaflets are available from the Information Table and dates are shown in the Newsletter.
Care Zone
The Care Zone is a warehouse with furniture, clothing, toys and other (non-electrical) household items that are given away free of charge to those who are in need in our community through local agencies.
Parents and Tots
A fun play and social group for parents with toddlers, meeting every Wednesday during term time, 10 – 11.30am.
Jacob’s Group
An outreach group for young adults who have a variety of learning disabilities. Our aim is to meet the social and spiritual needs of our members by combining social and small group activities.
