Care Zone
Opening Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Friday 10 am - 3pm
The Care Zone is a warehouse of good quality furniture, clothing, toys and household items – donated by church members and others in the community – that are given away free of charge to those that are in need in and around Peterborough.
We provide care, compassion and practical support to some of the neediest and most vulnerable people in our city.
Who can use the Care Zone?
Run by KingsGate Community Church in conjunction with Open Door Resettlement Project, the Care Zone operates on a referral system. Agencies in the city who work with the underprivileged and needy can register with the Care Zone and can then refer their clients to the team.
To register an Agency with the Care Zone please call 01733 575 083.
When is the Care Zone open?
The Care Zone is open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays 10 am – 3 pm.
How do I donate items to the Care Zone?
Donations of good quality items to the warehouse are always welcome and will be a real blessing to those who have very little.
Bedding or furniture will only be accepted if in good condition and with fire retardant labels. For Health and Safety reasons we cannot accept stained items, such as mattresses.
Please do not donate items that are broken or incomplete. We want to offer good quality items to those who visit the warehouse.
Collections can be arranged for larger items – please contact Janie or Gill on 01733 575 083.
You can deliver your items yourself to the Care Zone during any of the opening times. |
