The Team
In September 1988 Pastor Dave and Karen Smith accepted the challenge to come to Peterborough and plant a church. They moved from Oxford, where Dave was completing a doctoral thesis on the 18th Century evangelist George Whitefield. Their mandate was to build a local church that would impact the city, the region, the nation and beyond.
Their heart is to see thousands of people from every location, vocation, nation and generation come to know the amazing love of God.
Dave’s clear and challenging teaching style means he is increasingly in demand throughout the UK and internationally. However, Dave and Karen remain focused on building a strong, thriving local church and are committed to growing the ministry through team leadership.
Dave and Karen have two daughters, Emily and Annabel.
Dave also supports Manchester City. As a church we appreciate he can't be discerning in all areas!
